Carole joined leaders of community, Faith-based, and non-profit organizations in southeastern PA, NJ, and Delaware at the National Constitution Center.
The conference on hate, bigotry, and bias featured Attorney General Josh Shapiro, and a panel of community activists, including ACLU, Anti-Defamation League, Congress, Interfaith Center of Greater Philadelphia, Philadelphia DA’s office, and U.S. Department of Justice. Topics included an Update on the State of Hate, The Traumatic Impact of Hate, (Dr. Sandra Bloom, psychiatrist), and a survivor of the Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting telling “One Victim’s Story.” The conference participants learned about the abundance of resources available in bias incidents in Philadelphia, and how advocacy from these non-profits helps unify communities with collaboration.
