Foundation Takes Action to Fund COVID19 Emergency Appeals

Our Foundation has always supported food insecurity initiatives, especially with “vulnerable populations.”  That particular population is now expanding exponentially beyond seniors, to now almost anybody and everybody who has lost income, jobs, their businesses, and can no longer purchase food for the family due to the Corona Virus pandemic.

PHILABUNDANCE

  • Our Foundation donated 56 boxes of food, each providing two meals for a family of four
  • Our Foundation donated 12 extra-large boxes of food , each providing four meals for a family of four

MITZVAH FOOD PANTRY (Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia)

  • Our Foundation made a large donation to Jewish Federation’s Covid19 Emergency Campaign - specifically designated to their Mitzvah Food pantries in Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks Counties.
  • Our seniors in the Jewish community are dramatically affected by this pandemic since the senior and community centers that provided one hot lunch meal daily have been closed. In many cases, this was the only meal they ate each day, so more seniors are now dependant on the food pantries and food delivery, which they never needed before.
