Carole attended this conference, co-sponsored by both Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, and Hazon, the Jewish Lab For Sustainability. It brought together many national organizations, activists and a team of Israeli experts dedicated to alleviating hunger and increasing food security.
Best practices included ways to build more sustainable and equitable food systems, new ideas of recovery and delivery, reinventing the food pantry, and farming and cooking - using food to build community. Experts spoke of pioneering trends to change food habits so that we lessen the climate impacts of our food choices.
