Thanksgiving is centered around the virtue of gratitude. A moment to pause and appreciate the blessings in our lives.
We are grateful for the opportunities for philanthropy.
We are grateful for our partnerships with other nonprofits that support the marginalized members of our communities.
Thanksgiving is also a time to acknowledge the communities we are part of. And Connections. From neighbors to local organizations, the connections we foster contribute to our sense of belonging.
We are grateful for family and friends, that validate our place in this vast world.
We are grateful for our homes that provide a safe and comfortable place to live.
As we gather around our tables, let's not forget the abundance nature provides - awakening all of our senses from the colors of autumn to the sounds of geese heading south, to the taste of crunchy apples, spicy / apple cider/pumpkin everything from lattes to ravioli's, and aromas of cooking and baking emanating from our kitchens. The harvest reminds us of the hard work and dedication that goes into bringing food to our tables. This Thanksgiving, take a moment to appreciate the farmers, the land, and the environment that sustains us. It's a perfect opportunity to reflect on our relationship with nature, and how we can give back to it.
A heart full of Thanks. As Thanksgiving approaches, let's embrace the spirit of gratitude. By recognizing the blessings in our lives - our relationships, health, home, community, opportunities, and nature, we cultivate a mindset that fosters joy and contentment. This season, take a moment to express your thanks, whether through words, gestures, or simply in your heart.
